With the situation over the spread of the coronavirus in Europe changing on a daily basis, I would like to provide you with a further update from Swift Removals.

Our priority continues to be to safeguard the health and safety of our customers, staff and wider business contacts, whilst also ensuring that we can continue to provide you with the best possible customer service. 

With this in mind, we have introduced the following key measures within the business to support this including:

– Standard health procedures

  •  Increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting vehicles, equipment etc after each collection/delivery.

  • All staff to wear gloves, masks & face shields (we will provide customers with gloves & masks if required).

  • Gloves & masks will be responsibly disposed of after each individual collection/delivery.

  • Distributing hand sanitizers and continuing to remind employees to wash their hands regularly.

  • Encouraging employees to report any illnesses they are experiencing and to stay at home if they are sick.

  • Checking employees temperature at the start of each shift.

  • To reduce the risk of infection, only the removals team will be in the property on the day. The property to be ventilated throughout whilst the teams are on location.


– Prior to the Collection/Delivery

  • Customer to advise us if they, or any member of their immediate family has had any symptoms of the virus. 

  • Customer to inform all relevant parties and gain permissions for the move if the property is within a communal area.

– Face-to-face surveys

While our teams are available for face-to-face surveys where requested and needed, where these are not business-critical, we are advising staff to minimise these in agreement with our clients. All of our teams will still be available by phone, email, and video conferencing facilities, so we do not anticipate that this measure will impact ‘business as usual’.

There may be adjustments needed as we all settle into what may be the new ‘normal’ for the next few months – but within that, Swift Removals will be operating on a ‘business as usual’ basis, keeping our service to our clients going in an appropriately adapted way.

We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and  as the situation progresses, we will provide updates as and when necessary.
